DAY 1: MOMBASA/DIANI/MALINDI BEACH HOTEL-TSAVO EAST
You will be picked from your malindi/Mombasa/diani beach hotel then drive to fort Jesus, visit the Old town as you enjoy shopping, the Hindu temple. Lunch will be at the Royal Court Hotel After lunch visit the Akamba woodcarver’s village before driving to Tsavo East National Park which is about 150km from Mombasa but as you drive to the park, there is a stopover for toilet then proceed to Tsavo national park through Bachuma gate. Upon the entrance to the park you will begin your game drive enroute the lodge. As you drive in the park you will have a chance of seeing lots of animals in the Tsavo east national park which is the largest park in Kenya approximately 13,747 sq. km you have a high chance of spotting the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo,crocodile, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola also a variety of different types of bird species. You will check in at the safari lodge/safari Camp in the evening. All meals and overnight stay at your safari lodge/camp of your choice.
DAY 2: TSAVO EAST-TAITA HILLS-LUMO WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
An early morning game drive in tsavo east before breakfast. After breakfast go for a long game drive coming back for lunch at noon. After lunch check-out of the safari Lodge/safari Camp and drive for 1hr and 30minutes to the Taita hills and lumo community wildlife sanctuary. Located at the foots of Taita hills and Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary lies at the heart of the Tsavo ecosystem, surrounded by Tsavo East and West. It includes Lake Jipe and the Taita Game Sanctuary. It is composed of three group ranches ( Lualenyi, Mramba and Oza), all of whom have chosen to pool their natural resources in the interest of sustaining this unique wilderness area.
The area is a vital wildlife corridor for the animals of Tsavo East and West, an ancient elephant migratory route and an important breeding site for lions. It is home to abundant and diverse wildlife species, spectacular landscapes, and enjoys the rich cultural heritage of the Taita people. The little known 125,000 acre Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary is situated between the Taita hills Sanctuary and West Tsavo , only 50 km from Voi on the Taveta road.The three group ranches joined together to form the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary as a way to use natural resources on their land. By investing the earnings from tourist activities, the community plays an integral role in conserving the biodiversity of the area by fighting poaching and the bush meat trade and creating awareness of invaluable wildlife. The sanctuary is a model of how local people benefit from the union of conservation and enterprise in a sustainable to help to alleviate poverty and conserve wildlife for this and future generations. On your game drive you have a chance of spotting lion, leopard, cheetah, serval cat, civet, bat eared fox, buffalo, giraffe, elephant, baboon, waterbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, eland, gazelle, zebra, mongoose, hyrax, dik dik, porcupine, and oryx, the unusual aard-wolf, and both striped and spotted hyena and the prolific bird life features 600 recorded species.
DAY 3: TAITA HILLS – MOMBASA/MALINDI/DIANI BEACH HOTEL
Embark on an early game drive at 6.30am in taita hills then come
back for full breakfast at 8.30am.After breakfast you continue with game drive in Taita hills before proceeding back to the lodge for Lunch. After lunch you drive back to your Diani/Mombasa/Malindi beach
